In September 2007 Northstone (NI) Limited acquired the sand, gravel and block business of T. O’Connell and Sons.
This acquisition brings sand pits at Dungiven and Claudy as well as a concrete block production plant at Aghadowey into the Northstone Concrete Division. T. O'Connell and Sons is a long established family business and the acquisition of their production facilities fits well with the existing Northstone sand, gravel and pre cast concrete activities in the Province.
Northlink welcomes the 23 former O'Connell employees to the Northstone family and we have it on good authority that everyone is settling in well.
