This means continually seeking to reduce the environmental impact of our activities and implementing new technologies and methods of work which are targeted at reduction or elimination of emissions, reduction of carbon footprint, greater efficiency in the use of energy and resources, sustained restoration of work locations and enhanced biodiversity.


This means having an ongoing commitment to operate our business to the highest ethical, legal and moral standards as underpinned by culture of openness and core values of integrity, honesty and respect for the law.

Customer Service

This means effectively interacting with customers and clients at the time of sale, seeking to enhance the service level delivered and thereafter build enduring relationships which lead to further business opportunities to the mutual benefit of the parties.

Building Social Value

This means recognising that ongoing business success is built on maintaining excellent relationships and having positive impact on the communities in which we do business and the individuals who live there by seeking to leave a positive legacy for local communities and economies. Typical actions undertaken will include, but are not limited to, procuring goods and services locally, appropriate community engagement strategies, the fair treatment of suppliers as well as offering work experience and career development opportunities.

  • Richard and Diane decide to retire
    Richard McDermott, the Northstone Materials Commercial Director, and his wife, Diane, have both decided to retire this Christmas and bring to an end a total of 48 years of service to our Company.
