Modern Slavery

Modern Slavery Statement

Modern slavery is a heinous crime in which people are treated as commodities and exploited for criminal gain. It can affect individuals and communities across the globe. It can also take place right here in the UK.

As a responsible and ethical business Northstone is committed to respecting human / labour rights and to take all reasonable steps to ensure that modern slavery (in any form) does not take place in our sphere of influence. Transparency throughout our supply chain is critical in achieving this goal.

Modern Slavery Act

The Modern Slavery Act was introduced in 2015 and applies to all businesses that operate in the UK. Some organisations, those with an annual turnover of £36m or more, are required to produce an annual slavery and trafficking statement.

Northstone is part of CRH plc, the leading global diversified building materials business in the world, employing 79,200 people at 3,100 locations worldwide.
