Platinum Award for Farrans
The Farrans environmental credentials were further enhanced in November this year with the Contractor of Choice being awarded Platinum Status in the Arena Network Survey. This benchmarking exercise attracts entrants from 14 sectors of the Northern Ireland economy including participants from the top 200 companies and leading public sector organisations such as health trusts, local authorities, education and library boards and universities.
The Survey assesses performance in energy, waste, water and transport as well as corporate strategy, environmental management, environmental performance and improvement as well as assurance. To achieve a platinum designation requires a compliance score of over 90%.
Alex Anderson, the Farrans Divisional Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality Manager was delighted on winning the award for Farrans as he told Northlink recently; “This is the sixth time that Farrans have won a Platinum Award in the Arena Network Survey. It means that we scored highly in all of the demanding criteria. The award is well deserved recognition of all the good work that goes on to continue reducing our impact on the environment across the organisation. Such awards also help greatly as they reaffirm our environmental credentials and more importantly, illustrate that our performance compares very favourably with other companies in every sector of the economy.”
Northlink congratulates Alex and his team on another superlative performance.
